The art of pottery making is something which I always wish to be knowledgeable about. However, unlike Mathematics, English or Science, it is something which can only be learned by years of practice and dedication. It also requires a lot of patience. And just like a famous saying goes, “art is caught, not taught”.  It is a gift which no one can ever steal. 

When I was little I used to feel envious of my best friend who is good in pottery making. She is not only intelligent but she is also very good in making something nice out of her hands. She paints and draws like a pro. I also know how to paint and draw but my work was never as good as hers. She also has a green thumb which means that she is very good in growing plants. Of all the plants I tried to grow, only a few barely survived. She also tried teaching me how to make a small clay pot but what is suppose to look like a clay pot appears like a small lump of clay shaped to look like a small box. The frustration was great and I know I should not feel envious of whatever gifts she has. It is a good thing we grew up and I began to accept whatever gifts I had. However, it is for that reason why I began collecting ceramic items from artsy ceramic interior wall sconces to flowering pots.

If I was not instructed when I first asked about the ceramic table lamps and bedroom lighting, I would have just cleaned the accumulated dust off and markings with a liquid cleaner. However, according to the good people of the online shop where I purchased the ceramic lighting fixture, using a liquid cleaner will damage the product. It will be absorbed by the white ceramic ware and will worsen whatever markings or smudges it has. A dry cloth is enough to clean the dust off. If there are any markings on the ceramic, using a medium P150 grit sandpaper which is normally use in sanding of bare wood will do the job. 

We all wish a clean environment for our family and it should start from home. Good housekeeping must be observed by every family member.  We should always see to it that every corner and every part of our house is properly cleaned to avoid pests from making our home their home as well.

What's Your Favorite Part Of The House?

Each of us has a special place or a favorite spot in our home. We treat that room as our kingdom and we do not let just anybody enter our little kingdom. It is a place sacred to us that will throw us to a fit if someone even dares enter that room or touches anything in the room. It is probably childish to consider it as such but it is something which we all find difficulty in letting go as we grow older.

As for me, my siblings and niece and nephews, our favorite room in the house is my bedroom which I recently decorated with Nature Wall Art and Flower Wall Decor, a type of wall décor which I purchased online a few months ago.
