Las Vegas City With Many Lights and Entertainment

Las Vegas, the infamous city in the Nevada State, is the place you are looking for if you want to have a really great time. It is one of the most popular Sin Cities of world considering its tolerances to all types of vices and other adult entertainment which includes gambling. I am not a big fan of gambling and the only vice I have are my gizmos and video games. But I like Las Vegas because of its beauty especially at night. The display of all types of lights including wall lights and garden lights was not only intricately created but was creatively designed to ensure the enjoyment of its tourists.

Las Vegas is also known as The Entertainment Capital of the World or The Live Entertainment Capital of the World. I'm sure that everyone will agree that LA lives up to its title considering the large number of casinos and huge events and shows which are held in this place. The recent Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez fight was also held in this place specifically in MGM Grand Las Vegas, a hotel casino operated by MGM Resorts International. And who would forget Hollywood, the home of our movie industry?

If you want to get married without any problems, Las Vegas is also the place to be. It is the reason why it is also called the Marriage Capital of the World. It is known that acquiring a marriage license in this place is as easy as 1, 2, 3- that means no blood samples, no seminars, and no special license and no waiting time are needed. Just a small amount of cash and your marriage will be valid and legal world wide. According to facts about an average of 115,000 weddings a year are done in a small wedding venue. So if in case you want to get wed right away, Las Vegas is the place to be. However, it is kind of ironic though that the place known as the City of Angels is also the place known as the Sin City.

Saving Earth With Energy Saving Light Bulbs In Our Wall Lights

Mother nature has nurtured, served, and protected us since time immemorial. As stewards of the earth we could have done the same thing to protect it. But instead of nurturing, serving and protecting it, we abused and exploited our natural resources which cause an imbalance to the ecological system. Moreover, we have also created a large hole to the only protection of this planet from the harmful ultra-violet rays emitted by the sun, the ozone layer. We have polluted the land and sea as well. The result? A mass of waste materials or pollution, pests, sickness, poverty, death and so on. Sooner or later we will be moving around this planet in a UV protected suit or perhaps wait for our destruction unless we do something to stop it.

And it happened. On March 31, 2007 at 7:30PM Australian time, the WWF(World Wide Fund) Australia held the first Earth Hour. To those who are unaware of Earth Hour, it is a worldwide annual event held every end of the month of March. It was organized by WWF in order to address the erratic climate change. Then on March 29, 2009, 35 countries across the globe have participated in this event. All lights were out for at least an hour causing a huge reduction of energy consumption. Its worldwide success had inspired other countries to participate in this huge event. Last March 23, 2013, Earth Hour was again celebrated. Participants all over the world, turned off their lights for an hour in celebration for this huge event. WWF-Uganda had also started its first campaign in planting one million trees as a start for land rehabilitation. In the US, Girl scouts have began their campaign in help Mother Earth by waste reduction, saving energy, and promoting rain garden.

Currently there are several news that four people were ask to travel to the planet mars to be the first inhabitants of that alien planet. It is kind of ambitious and risky. But, it will be a huge success of humankind if in case the project will succeed in growing plants in mars. In the religious point of view, the mission to the alien planet is not only risky and ambitious but alarming as well. Bear in mind that earth is the only living planet in the whole solar system. Instead of paying billions of dollars to finance a project as big as this, why not use it to start repairing the damage to the planet that have provided us with our basic needs. We can start by recycling and using energy saving light bulbs in our wall lights and our other lighting fixtures. Remember what Charles Baudelaire had said that "nothing can be done except little by little."(credit goes to the photographers used in this post).
