The Proper Way Of Cleaning The Ceramic Lamps

Housecleaning is never fun. It can be tiring too. There are even times that we want to get away from it. But it is our responsibility to ensure that our home is clean everyday for our own safety. I suppose none of us would want to live in a place which does not only stink but is also covered in dust and garbage.

Hiring someone to clean the house is the best solution especially when you are too busy or too lazy to do it. I do that once in a while especially when all I want to do is relax in front of the television set. I just make sure that the person who cleans the house does not touch the ceramic lamps since I do the cleaning myself. Ceramic lamps are only cleaned by a dry cloth and medium 150 grit sandpaper. The dry cloth is for dusting and the grit paper is for removing fingerprints and smudges.  Cleaning solvents and liquid cleaners can do damages to the ceramic lamps. Since they are made from clay it will absorb the cleaning solvents or the liquid cleaners which will even worsen the markings. I used to have the hired help clean the ceramic lighting fixtures with the special instruction on how to clean the ceramic lights. Unfortunately, the person I hired to clean the fixtures was too engrossed in cleaning and forgot about the special instructions.

Cleanliness is said to be next to godliness. Regardless, of our busy schedule, we should always keep our home spic and span. A clean house is not only ideal for dwelling but it also gives us peace of mind knowing that we are free from any diseases. It is our responsibility to keep our environment clean as well.

Ceramic Lamps Make A Perfect Lamp For Your Kid's Bedroom

Lighting fixtures are as important as any part of a house or building structures. They are the life of every residential and commercial establishment. Every home, office, apartment or street has it not only for aesthetic beauty but for the security and safety of everyone. I do not believe in ghost or horror stories but I would not dare enter a house or a room without any lighting fixtures-regardless if it is my own or not. Total darkness makes me feel uneasy, afraid and cold. Besides, I might bump or step into something. This is why every corner of our home is adorned with lighting fixtures. They are not just ordinary lighting fixtures. They are ceramic lamps.

Ceramic lamps make a perfect addition to every home. The designs are unique and fun. They also make a great night lamp. Just add a dimmer switch to achieve it. In addition, since these ceramic lamps are made from natural white earthenware clay, I am confident that they are safe to use. We were also assured that these lamps are UL-listed which means they are okay to use even in damp places. For all these reasons, we have replaced all the lighting fixtures at home with these ceramic lamps especially now that my niece is growing up.

Lighting fixtures matter. It may not be that important to some but it is to us and most especially to my young niece. My one year old niece loves the ceramic lighting fixtures especially the ones with the fun designs. She likes the 9" Cylinder Sconce with Fish and Bubble Cut Outs the most. She likes it better than the ceramic lamps with star patterns which used to adorn her room. Left with a choice, my sister in law changed the theme of her room to underwater and replaced the ceramic lamp with star patters to the 9" Cylinder Sconce with Fish and Bubble Cut Outs and added a dimmer switch to use it as a night lamp.

Benefits And Features Of Energy-Efficient Lamps

Many of us do not care much about the lighting fixtures we have at home. It does not matter if they are already unflattering to the interior design of our home. The most important thing is that it is able to provide illumination. It should also be energy-efficient and safe to use. However, home lighting fixtures are not a mere electrical device which brightens our home. They can be a great decoration on our wall or ceiling. In addition, they can also make an attractive piece if placed on our coffee table, desk or bedside table.

Every time we decide to buy a lighting fixture for our home, it is right that we should consider its benefits and features first. We should always go for energy saving lamps such as LED (light emitting diode) lamps and CFL (compact fluorescent) lamps. They have lower electrical consumption compared to incandescent lamps. They also last longer.  Some might have second thoughts about buying these energy saving lamps since they are a bit costly compared to incandescent lamps. However, these LED lamps and CLF lamps last longer and uses less energy. We have compared the electrical bills we have before we were using LED lamps and after we replaced one light bulb to LED. Our bill since we replaced one light bulb to LED is 15 per cent lower which is already a huge saving.

Aside from energy-efficiency and cost-effectiveness, we should also only buy lighting fixtures which are safe to use or are UL approved such as the ceiling lights we have at home-the 13" Home Sweet Home Ceramic Table Light. This cute ceramic table lamp is a great decorative piece in my niece bedroom. We called to have it customized the bulb to LED. We also requested a dimmer as this ceramic table lamp makes a great night light. The stored offered to customize the color of the ceramic table lamp but we like it as it is. Besides, we can repaint it ourselves if we decide to change its color in the future.

Decorating Your Home With Contemporary Wall Lighting Sconces

My aunt redecorates her home as often as she changes clothes. She does not like seeing the same arrangement everyday as that bores her. If she can, she would redecorate her home everyday. She is on pins and needles every time she sees an interesting or new design on the television or magazine and wants to apply the design to her home right away. Thankfully she is not doing it as often as she used to.

There is nothing wrong in redoing the interior of your home. However, when you do it as often as every three days, it has become a problem. So whenever she has the urge to redecorate her home, we asked her to start with the lighting fixtures first. Fortunately, she agrees. The lighting fixtures she has at home are made of white clay which can be easily painted with enamel. I also lost count of the number of times she had the ceramic light sconces painted and repainted whenever she wants the lighting fixtures to match the color of the wall, rugs and curtains since she purchased them. Somehow, the ceramic light sconces are intricately made. It was durable enough to be able to endure the number of times it was cleaned, painted and repainted. It is also fortunate that we chose the ceramic light sconces which has the contemporary design as they can be easily mixed and matched. We just make sure that there are no liquid cleaners available at her house as that would damage the surface of the ceramic lighting fixtures.

I guess my aunt is just a frustrated interior designer. We tried coaxing her to try decorating other homes since she is really good at it. She could also make a living out of it. But for some reason she only wants her home and sometimes our home too, to be the canvass of her master piece.
