Decorating Your Home With Elegant Wall Sconces

Decorating our home every time we are expecting an important guest is something that we do most of the time. We do it not because we want to impress but to simply to ensure that our guest or guests are comfortable and welcome. In addition, we redecorate our home to ensure that our guests will also have a great time staying with us. In making changes to the interior design of our home, more often than not we only make some changes in the bed covers, furniture covers, carpet and the curtains. We also make changes in the wall paint as well as the lighting fixtures if necessary.

However if you have a lighting fixture which is as classy as the Classic and Traditional Wall Sconces, there is no need to make such changes. Classic and Traditional Wall Sconces can be repainted to a different color if in any case you want to give it a different look. Painting it with enamel will make these lamps look brand new again. But I like the ceramic lamps best in its natural color which is white. White in my opinion is classic and elegant. Making the lamps look brand new once again is also simple. All these ceramic wall sconces need are dry cloth and a 150 medium grit sandpaper-dry cloth to remove the dust and sandpaper to remove the smudges and fingerprints. Besides I dislike the smell of enamel paint.

As for the wall, I would rather use wall paper or some wall art decorations as the wooden wood art which can cover almost the entire wall instead of enamel paint. But recently, I am fascinated with Living Wall Planters and Green Wall Systems. They are not only unique but they are also very environmental. These living wall planters will also make the entire room cool and cozy. I am not sure if the Classic and Traditional Wall Sconces will blend well with the living wall planters. But I will give it a try once all the Living Wall Planters and Green Wall Systems are ready for installation.

Do You Sleep With The Lights Off Or Lights On?

 http://www.fabby.com/ceiling-lights-home.html

Some of us prefer sleeping with the lights on. Whiles others prefer to sleep in complete darkness and there are those who prefer sleeping with minimal lights on. At home we normally just turn off all the bedroom lights off but keep the sconce lights on outside our bedroom then keep the bedroom doors ajar. This way we can sleep comfortably at night as it is neither too dark nor too bright. We have this kind of set up since we were kids. We were watching too much horror movies back then which often give us a scare at night. But now that we are all adults we still keep the lights not because we are afraid of sleeping in the dark but because we are used to it. It is for safety reasons as well as there are times that we wake up in the middle of the night either to go to the rest room or get some water to drink.

It is a relief that my mother bought our first ceramic lamps, the 18" Random Circles Ceramic Ceiling Light. The ceramic lighting fixture is a work of art made from earthen clay. The light coming out from its circle patterns is a sight to behold. We were entranced by it the first time we turned it on. But it is too bright to be a night lamp so we were advised to have dimmers installed in each of the ceramic lamps so we keep adjust it from brilliant to subtle. In addition, we had the light bulbs changed to LED to save from electric bills.

According to Arthur Schopenhauer, "Each day is a little life: every waking and rising a little birth, every fresh morning a little youth, every going to rest and sleep a little death." Getting a good night sleep is important to our health. It is important that we should get enough sleep everyday. Either we get cranky or too lazy to work if we are missing sleep even for a few hours. Perhaps to some, five hours of sleep is enough. But for most of us, missing sleep is tormenting. We do crazy things and say stupid things when we lack sleep.

New House, New Life

There is nothing more pleasant than living in a home that is not only beautiful but cozy and bright as well. It should have wide windows to allow natural lighting and proper ventilation just like my uncle's newly built home. It should also be properly lighted so that when night time comes you feel secure and comfortable. In my previous blog, I mentioned that their home was among the thousand houses that were either damage or blown away. But there is nothing that cannot be replaced. We are just glad that the new house is done and only needs some final touches before it becomes a great place to live again. It is a good thing that the Contemporary Ceramic Pendant Lights and other ceramic lighting fixtures which were ordered online arrived sooner than expected. Otherwise, they would still be using oil lamps, gas lamps or candles.

The ceramic lamps perfectly compliment the new home. But then again any Contemporary Ceramic Pendant Lights such as the Convex Cylinder Pendant Light with Horizontal Slits which are adorning kitchen and the dining area are great decorative lighting fixtures that can blend well in any part of the house. They also have the Contemporary Ceramic Pendant Lights installed in every bedroom except for nursery and the children's bedrooms in which they installed the Home Sweet Home Ceramic Wall Sconce. This ceramic lamp  which serves as night lamps since my young cousins cannot sleep if their room is in pitch black. They just added dimmers for that feature.

Except for the sofa and dining set which will be delivered anytime this week, the new house is comfortable enough to spend the night. But I guess the state of your house does not matter as long as it is your house it will always be a home sweet home.

The Convenient Way Of Shopping For Ceramic Lighting Fixtures

With the help of technology, shopping these days is made easy and convenient. There is no need for you to drive to the nearest shopping mall or shop just to buy the item/s that you like because everything can be done using your smartphones, tablets, and laptops or personal computers. All you need to do is wait for your item to be delivered at your doorstep. This way you can accomplish a lot of things without leaving your office or your home.

Items that can be purchased online vary from food, clothing, furniture and fixtures, electronic appliances and even lighting fixtures.  This is how I got our ceramic lamps at home. As much as I love shopping, I hate carrying all the items I have bought especially those which are either heavy or fragile to carry. There had been several occasions where I accidentally broke a glassware or plate ware right after I bought them; those were supposed to be wedding gifts or birthday gifts. That was a total waste of money. After my fourth time of breaking something fragile which includes a long list of lamps, ceramic tiles, glass windows and a bottle of alcoholic beverage, I decided not to shop for these anymore.

I was glad when a friend told me that the ceramic lamps which I have been checking every time I visit the shopping mall are finally available online. The ceramic lamps are too classy and elegant to disregard. These type of decorative lighting fixtures are normally found in some hotels or malls. Adding this type of lighting fixture to our minimal home will make a difference. Besides, since this ceramic lighting is made of earthenware clay, I am sure that it is safe to use. These are a few of the reasons why I have been asking my brothers, cousins and friends to buy those for me whenever we pass by that store but either they have too many things to carry or too tired add more to their baggage. But since they are now available online, I can buy them without any worries of breaking them. It is really very convenient.
